Steering column parts.

Anyone in readerland have a contact or connection for someone that specializes in GM steering columns?

Many many years ago, I swapped a tilt column from a 75 cutlass into my 69. It was a very easy swap. I later found a turn signal lever that had the “set” button and used that with my aftermarket cruise.

I have since installed a later column in my car. I still have most of the parts from the 75 column.

The time has come to build a column for my sons 71 el Camino. His plans basically follow mine from years earlier. We got a tilt column from a 75ish Pontiac Grand Prix, thinking it would be the same as the column I used from the Olds. Not even close!!

I have a huge tote of column parts, I’m finding out not all columns are the same. I’m not exactly sure what I need, I’m hoping someone that specializes in this stuff can help with the right parts.

John

Where do you think I got the column? 😁😁😁

I knew it wasn’t a Olds column, I ASSUMED since they came from the same vintage car, they columns would be identical other than the brand specific items (steering wheel, the styling of the turn signal/tilt levers) I’m finding that’s not the case.
