Replacing Body Bushing problems

Replacing body bushings on my 69 Cutlass. The bushings under the door and above the rear end are drop in push in style. No hardware. I removed the bushings and hardware on the front by the wheel well and the rear by the bumper that actually use hardware and tried to jack up the body to sperate and they are not breaking loose. I pried the rubber with a pry bar... tried working them out of the frame hole. Do I need to torch the rubber into a puddle of goo???? What gives!

How many bolts have you removed...maybe you missed some? There are two sets at the rear, the second set is a couple feet forward from the bumper ones. Assuming fenders off so the radiator support isn't coming into play?

Did you get instructions with the body bushings? The body bushing kit I bought for my sons el Camino show the location of each one.

Off the top of my head, there is one in the firewall area, the next one back is a drop in style with no hardware, the next one back is right in front of the rear wheelhouse, the one above the wheel house is a drop in style (no hardware, then there are 2 more, one directly behind the wheelhouse, then the last just in front of the bumper.

Hope that helps.
