help identifying lines in engine bay
i was getting ready to drop the motor back in last night and noticed two metal hoses in the engine bay. there's a small one and a bigger one and the big one is cut in half. what are these lines?

Uh, there are a lot of "metal hoses" (also called tubes) in the engine compartment. Perhaps you can provide a photo that will let us provide a useful answer.

Model and year of car????
If it is the brake lines he's talking about, this is the time to replace them while it's convenient. Nothing worse than pouring in brake fluid and watching it leak all over the frame and floor.....

Location
exact sizes
what they ARE connected to
Maybe get into a position where you can share an actual photo, what with them trading at 1000 words and all.

Then those are probably old lines that were left in place when replacements were run parallel. Go under and look at where they lead to.

That leads me to say fuel line and vapor or return line.
