Blow-By 394

Have a 394 with some blow-by. Has anybody used Certech Ceramic Coating or Restorer with help reduce or eliminate blow-by?

It is hard to get one of these old first generation engines without some blowby. It makes you realize why we have PCV valves and then the emissions controls we have today. I have used Restore ( http://restoreusa.com/ ). and it seemed to help. However, it is not an overhaul in a bottle.

Good luck with additives, but blow by is caused by worn rings and sometimes groves worn in the cylinder walls. Therefore there's usually no easy fix. It will do no harm to try some of the known additives. Larry

The Certech product actually coats the cylinder walls. Has very good reviews. It's much more $$$ than Restorer.

Rocketowner, I may change oil and filter and add the Luca product first and see what happens. $10.00 at Wally World got nothing to lose.
