94 cutlass convertable 3.4L fuel pump

94 cutlass convertable 3.4L fuel pump

without dropping the tank where can i cut a hole to access the fuel pump?

I think it would probably be somewhere under the back seat. I don't know what you are planning on using to cut the hole but I would be very careful not to make any sparks right over the gas tank.

If there isn't a pre-existing access door under the rear seat the tank would have to come out.

Drop the tank. Cutting a hole in the blind is a great way to create collateral damage.

x2, drop that tank. Just had a fuel tank/fuel pump/fuel line/new fuel tank strap job done on my 1994 CS Supreme (in prep for driving to the Nats), it was no big deal. I could have done it myself but I've gotten really, really lazy about what car repairs I do myself these days.

In short I would avoid cutting any "auxillary" holes anywhere on these cars, it opens up the trouble door, IMHO.
