72 442 Tachometer issue

What should i check for all other gauges work except the tach.

You should check the wiring diagram in you Chassis Service Manual (FYI, the wiring diagram for the Rally Pac is in the Accessories section in Chapter 15). You'll find that the wiring for the tach is completely unrelated to the wiring for the other gauges. The tach has separate power, light, and tach sense wires. The ground is provided through the case to the ground straps in the dash.
