72 442 metal dash paint

72 442 metal dash paint

I am ready to paint the dash on my 72 442. I know the color is black of course but does anybody know the correct brand or paint code to get the factory look and sheen?

I use SEM Landau Black.

An auto paint store can cross reference these codes to mix the correct color and sheen for you.

I just did mine and came out great. I did not use the SEM on the metal dash just the dash pad. I had the paint mixed at an auto body supply store as the paint code for the metal dash is a textured paint. (atleast that is what came up under the PPG paint code from where I bought mine) You can find the pictures of mine in my thread "interior gutted with questions" I was told that it has to be from a place that sells PPG as there is no cross for the PPG laquers.

Joe, that is cool! Where did you get this? I have not seen this in the assembly manual or Fisher body manual. Do you have this sheet for a 1970?
