Is there a sticky somewhere on the forum that shows the factory paint colors for the 1968 442 400 c.i. engine, accessories, and engine bay parts?
I'm redoing the engine and engine bay in my '68 442 and trying to keep it as close to stock as possible with just a few deviations like an aluminum intake manifold. Not sure if people use Eastwood engine bay black paint for brackets, etc.?
Another member supplied this, I found it helpful. I used POR-15 Chassis Black for the frame and control arms, Eastwood's Under Hood Black for the firewall, core support, etc. with great results. I had my pulleys and brackets powder coated semi-gloss black for durability.
Good luck!

Use that list with caution, as it is apparently a Chevelle list, not necessarily correct for Olds. For example, the "30% gloss" on inner fenders. Chevelles had metal inners. Olds has plastic that don't get painted. I've also never seen an Olds core support that was full gloss black.

Good point Joe, I should have added that caveat to my post. I've been able to track down some of the Olds specific differences to this list. The core support is a perfect example, doing mine using Eastwood's Underhood Black instead of the gloss listed.
Should the crankshaft balancer be painted black or the bronze color? I'm not sure if it would have been painted on the engine at the factory or if it would have come in black for assembly from the supplier.
