1968 442 Engine

Hello, I am looking for a 1968 442 Engine and transmission. Would like one with a 4 barrel carb. I am looking for a 400 cid, not a 455. If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks.

You are in luck. the '68 442 only came with a 400 4bbl.

Sorry, I don't have one, but if you find a 68 442 engine, it will be a 400 4bbl.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the 68 400 2bbl went in the 442. Can I get some more input on this?

And before someone posts that you could get it in 1967, this thread was about the 442. In 1967 the Turnpike Cruiser option was not offered in with the 442 package.

The 68 400 would be a "G" block.

In 1968 the 400 cid engine was a G block with 4 barrel carb.

I believe that an F block is for a 455. I'm not positive though.

Did you get a hold of Chris Witt? He was looking for your info last week about this. I'd give him a call. 517-449-0432

Hi, Tim. How much will the engine cost as is? Also do you have the tranny for it and any pictures of the engine? Thanks for all your help.
