1970 OAI Secondary Hood Latch

So I have a couple 1970 OAI hoods, both with some nose damage. One I’m pretty close to finishing and the second has had some metal cut at the front where the PO tried to massage it onto a ‘72 by cutting and grinding where the taller grilles would fit. I stacked them together today for the first time, and realized the cut hood has the secondary hood latch location on the left side of the tooth, while the other hood has it on the right. When were the secondary hood latches on the left? I can’t find any evidence that this hood has been split and re-glued, but you never know, I guess. What have I got here??

OK, after doing a lot more digging and searching for any kind of pics on the interweb, I'm thinking that the hood in the back is actually one for a '71-'72, and someone cut the raised portions off above the grille to try and convert it to be a '70. I was actually under the impression when I bought it that the opposite was true - that it was a '70 that someone was trying to turn into a '71... It seems the later models had that second latch on the left side while the '70 has it on the right. Interesting. NEVER knew this before. If anyone can confirm or deny what I think I've figured out, I would appreciate it. And if anyone out there has some skill with Fiberglas and would like to purchase what I now believe to be a '71-'72 hood (missing it's eyebrows), drop me a PM.

On the 70 hood, the safety latch is shifted toward the driver side whereas the 71/72 is shifted toward the passenger side. The 71/72 core support center section has BOTH square holes as the shown in the bottom pictures

Holy smokes. I had no idea. Now I see exactly what I have - dang. I'm not sure if the one hood can be repaired or not, but at least I know what I have. I really appreciate this - you learn something new every single day!
