hood pins

hood pins

well im trying to install these hood pins does anyone have the direction to install them on a 69 cutlass with a ram air hood

The 69 didn't come w OAI so it's going to be a little trial and error.

i would close the hood mark where the hole lines up on the core support then fit the under hood latch part. The repop parts don't fit great, I had to massage mine to get them to work.

also be aware the small roll pins that do the actual latching can slide and make unlatching your hood very difficult, so maybe loc tite or use some other method of keeping them in place

I have a Thornton OAI hood on my 69 Cutlass. The "catch" part of the system bolted to the rad support where the bumpers used to be. No measure or align needed. Hood closed - latches locked. Maybe I was just lucky.
