Alarm system

I am thinking my 79 H/O has a alarm system installed.
There doesnt seem to be any add on wires anywhere.
I need to eliminate it as a reason why it is not starting.

Anyone happen to know where I should start looking?

Thanks, Doug

So you confirmed you are not getting a spark or is the starter motor not even activating?

Looked it over last fall before I put it away for the winter.
No spark then, figured it needed a module.
Installed new ac delco module.
Just put in a new coil.
Still no spark.
Turns over nice and strong. HEI looks new inside.
Full power to dist.

If you have full power to the distributor then there is nothing else in line, it's in your distributor. Just for grins, run a jumper from your battery to the distributor and see if it starts. Disconnect the tach if it has one for now also.

You changed the module, but not the pickup (or the pickup wires).

Check those out.

Pickup is the next on the list. This looks like a fairly new Dist.
It ran when parked, but that was 10 yrs ago.
I will try the jumper.

That ought to buff out. Fresh tuneup, air them tires, flush the tank, good as new.
