Olds in a Chevy!
Olds in a Chevy!
No pictures - sorry!
OK, so the new term started today on my "Auto Restoration" class at the local CC. Two youth guys (20's) are working on a pair of 51' Chevy 2 dr. coupes. Got to talking to them and one says his came with a 455 Olds motor. (No motors currently in either) So I'm always looking for a deal on Oldsmobile parts and say; "Oh yeah!"
The guy says Yeah, it's at the machine shop now getting rebuilt. It's the motor he plans to use in his 51! The two guys, buddies plan to have their cars ready for a show in Tacoma, WA in August. Pretty ambitious goals considering the cars look like stripped 51's. If I can get a picture of the 455 in the 51' Chevy I'll post it here.
Anyway, thought folks wouldn't mind hearing about someone putting an Olds motor in a Chevy. Much less pulling, rebuilding & reinstalling it!
