Thumbs up Engine and trans restoring liquids...which if any should you use?

I was just going through some of my old car crap and found a box of Z-Max engine and transmission restorer that I bought almost 10 years ago and never used. I had bought it for my first car, a 1972 Monte Carlo and never put it in there. I see this crap advertised to death on Speedvision but never used it. I did use that Restore stuff that comes in the tall silver and black can which worked ok I guess. But I have not put anything in my 455 yet, so I just thought I would throw this question out there.... which if any of these engine cleaner/restorers should you use to clean up an engine or transmission?

The only engine additives I use are the STP oil treatment in the blue bottle and once and a while I use Rislone. My father used to swear by it, he had a lift tick in his 57 chevy belair, he added a quart of rislone and it stopped. He drove it almost 3 more years until he sold it, ever had a tick from it again. Not sure on the tranny. The lucas additive is probably the best. I through some bars transmission stop leak in my old Thunderbird and it seemed fine.

I've wondered about engine and transmission additives. I used Rislone a few times in my 64 Olds 98. I don't really think it did much of anything.

Nothing that thickens the oil goes in any of my vehicles. I've run diesel grade/tractor oil in my old cars and high mile work trucks. Higher level of cleaning agents.
