Scarebird Master??? 1962

I was just wondering if anyone has done the Scarebird disc conversion. I have bought a 4-wheel kit and it seams self explanitory. I'm just in a loss for what mastercylinder to run. It's going on a 62. Any help would be great.

I have done the scarebird disc conversion on both the front and the rear of my 57 Olds. The installation was pretty straight foward.

I am not familiar with the 62, Don you have power brakes? Is the power brake booster and master cylinder fire wall mounted ? Can you take a picture of you current set up. Maybe I can help you out if I see what you have.

I would think that if you take the master cylinder wih you to a good NAPA or othe auto store you could match the throw of the piston of the master cylinder with a dual master set up. The GM bolt pattern should be the same. You just need a good counter man to help you out. If you're only putting disc brakes on the fromt make sure you get a combo disc/drum master. If you're puting disc's all around then get a disc/disc set up. also purchase a perportioning valve as well. Good luck
