I'm hoping someone can help me date code a tire? I recently purchased a 65 442 at an estate auction and was given no information on the car. I suspect the car has been sitting since the late 70s. I found the registration and proof of insurance from 1974 in the console. The previous owner never titled the car. I bought the car with no title and was lucky to find the signed title under the drivers seat. It has 4 Duralon DS Premium tires with DOT code HXL7 MB5522. This doesn't follow current tire date coding. I stopped at the local tire chain and they were unable to provide me with any information. I also found an incomplete mileage log that stopped in the 70s and the trunk was full of Playboys from the late 70s early 80s still in their mailing wrappers. Any help would be appreciated.

 

If that's the date code, then it's 3 digit. 522. Tail end (52nd week) of a year ending in 2. Probably 82.
