Someone posted the name of a firm that sells mail order hardware
with no minimum quantities required. They also has things like trim
screws and washers, allen head bolts and studs, etc. I have succeed-
ed in losing the name. Can someone please point me in the right
direction?

Owen, AMK is the best place to buy if you need a lot of hardware. $30.00 minimum I think, after that it's small amounts of hardware. You can spend a long time looking through their stuff. They sell kits, too. This place:

No minimum. Great selection of all types, not just bolts.

 

Check the Oldsmobile page and the Body / Trim page on https://www.vintagepartsource.com , several companies listed with hardware trim screws etc... I don’t know if they have minimum purchases.

 

Inline Tube has a nice selection.

 

Allen's Fasteners has a great selection, too, and no minimum (I think)

 

AMK is the best vendor I've found for correct structural fasteners (body bolts, fender bolts, suspension bolts) with the correct heads and markings. There are a lot of clip and fastener vendors who have defunct AuVeCo products for trim clips.

 

I used a combination of AMK and Inline Tube, between the two you can find almost any fastener with the correct head markings if that is what you want.

 

In-line tube is ok but let the buyer beware. Their idler arm kit I got was Grade 5 screws when factory is grade 8. The screws were too short as well. The washers were skinny hardware store washers that will distort. The nuts were not correct silver cad locking nuts either. Another thing I got wrong from them was connecting rod screws. They sell 5/16” and originals were 3/8”. Don’t get me started on their bumper bracket to frame carriage head bolts. With some research into part numbers AMK is the best for most but not all. Our lives depend on this hardware. It’s no joke.

 

To Old Cutlass,,,,,I'm looking for the black pointed body bolts at this time.
Also want to be aware of a source and familiar with it before I've gotta
have something. My days of making a list, going to work and getting them,
and bringing them home are gone.
