Edelbrock intake swap
Edelbrock intake swap
I recently put a new edelbrock performer intake in my 72 cutlass 350. I also have a edelbrock 600 cfm carb on it. I don't know what I was expecting but I really didn't notice anything at all power wise and it didn't run as smooth as it once did with the stock intake. Is it possible I need the carb to be adjusted?
Not much to gain with the Edelbrock performer other than shedding some weight. What other mods have you done ? How much performance are you wanting to gain ? Usually the 1406 carb runs ok out of the box but you may want to add a 1 " 4 hole spacer .

The Edelbrock carbs aren't great, many have issues. I would have put on a 625 cfm Street Demon, if I wanted a shiny new carb. Put your Qjet back on, it was designed for your stock 350.
