2001 Bravada Codes

I am having issues with my mothers truck. First it wouldn't start after it had rained. I replaced the distributor cap and rotor. It then started fine after it rained. Now, after sitting, it has trouble starting. If I shoot some either in the TB, it will start. Most of the time it runs horrible, and sometimes backfires. Some times you can hit the gas, and it won't go anywhere, just put put and sputter. Some days, it runs like it has a brand new motor in it. I am guessing fuel related, and possibly the wires arcing causing it to misfire? Not sure. Anyhow, got it scanned... and woah.. Any help will be great!

Welcome to the site... First, although your list of codes is long, it may not be that bad since some codes will naturally initiate other codes used in that cycle of events, for example an injector code can also cause a misfire code... In order to track the codes to a route cause, you should follow a trouble shooting schematic found in chassis service manuals... These trouble shooting schematics will show a "if this then go here, if not go here" type testing...

Thank you for the replies. Huge thank you for the Link, Pat. Cruzn, where can I find the chassis service manuals? Will it have the same information as the link suggested by Pat? Thanks again

Great information on that link.

May just need a little clarification on some of these and what to check.

P0449 Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Valve/Solenoid Circuit Malfunction
P0440 Evaporative Emission Control System Malfunction

P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected - Most Important

U1096 SCP (J1850) Invalid or Missing Data for Primary Id
U1016 SCP (J1850) Invalid or Missing Data for Primary Id

None of the C0 codes are in the link suggested. Any idea what those could be?

The MASS airflow codes, im guessing, are either a bad mass airflow sensor, or from me unplugging it while troubleshooting.

You can google individual codes, Chevy Trailblazer codes would most likely be the same.

Trailblazers mostly used 4.2 liter engines. S-10 blazers used the 4.3 for the most part.
What engine is in yours?

It should have the 4.3 V6. I would get the codes cleared and try to see what comes up for codes after running it for a short period of time.
