A little Spring Cleaning

Just getting things cleaned up a little for the season.

Hope you all get to enjoy your rides soon.

Larry

It amazes me how different this paint can look in various lights. These two pictures are the same car as the one in my signature. Even in the same driveway just different light. it does not look this bright a red as it is in the pictures. It is a very nice candy apple kind of red metallic. Funny how it does that.

Nice ride!
I'm trying to get mine done in time for the end of May. Making headway, but still a long, arduous process. ...

Have new tires to mount and a few tune up items ready to go. Was getting ready to get her on road this week but a ice storm came thru and they resalted the roads....so now have to wait for a few good gully washer rain storms to clean roads. Put in New duct work for heat and vents and put in new glove compartment. Counting the days...

Went to check it. Before anyone asks, thats ATF under my car. Didnt leak anything while i drove it, so im not worried.
Probably stops when i take it back to use.

Waiting only for my outer windowfelts, which are shot. Forget to order those earlier
when winter was full on.. 2 weeks and for a ride??

That ATF leak brings back memories. Had the same problem about 6 years ago. After new paint, rebuilt engine, and some cosmetics Lucy was looking good. Came out one day to the garage and ATF all over the floor. Next thing I know 3 year of a 100% rebuild on every part and it was back together. Looks and drives like showroom now.

Inline my 76 olds often leaked tranny fluid after sitting all winter then nothing driving throughout the summer. I finally changed the speedo seal at the trans, no leaks now sitting.

Or the seal at the trans tail were the drive shaft goes in. That's were mine was. Cheap and easy fix. Unless your **** like me and decide to rebuild the entire car. LOL!

It comes from the front of pan, either from the pan itself or from above it, maybe dipstick? That much i bothered to kneel down.
Will take a look when i take it to lift.

Im a bit suspicious since when i bought it, the guy who bring it to Finland got oils changed to it, incl. ATF and cleaner. That was where i first saw the car, at shop who was changing those oils. I remember seller swearing that shop since they managed to use week for changing those oils, so i wouldnt be surprised even if the pan itself is leaking.
