Z bar pivot bracket

I'm using a 455 Fa block and it does not have the pivot point for the Zbar
There was a bracket to fix that problem. I have not been able to find one.
Anyone any know of such an item and maybe where to find one.
Thanks
Gene

If the block isn't drilled, is the crank? That's more important. You can just drill and tap the block, not so much on the crank. I've been there; done that. Just do it right.

Fleming , yes the crank is drilled. The block I’m using does NOT have to pivot point for the Z bar. There is no way to drill it.
I know there is a bracket that was made to fix this problem, that is what I’m looking for.

I have never seen a bracket assembly to replace the block-mounted pivot stud. I want to see this and how it functions? Joe might have the low down on this.

For what its worth, here's a photo of a home made bracket on an FA block.

The far easier solution is a hydraulic throwout bearing. That also avoids any issues with conflicts between the clutch linkage and headers.

Here's what a buddy of mine made for me. I'm running long tube headers with no issues.

I didn't realize they completely eliminated the flat. Some bean counter saved 3 cents on each one.
Like Joe said, you can always go hydraulic. It's a lot easier these days than it was 20 years ago when I did mine. McLeod has a sweet one that bolts in place of the bearing support. I just got one after getting tired of the leaky, circle track ones.
