your opinions wanted.....

I know its all preference, but here goes.... I've ordered a set of 15x6 / 15x7 steel rims for this car because the Chevy rally wheels GOTTA go. I'm gonna use dog dish caps on them. Should I paint rims body color if I can match it , or black? What do you think? I'm not going for correctness here. Just what do you think looks cooler?

On my 72 it had 14 with a full hubcap and they were painted body color . I don't know if it came from the factory this way but three out if four were body color

Body Color, and I prefer Raised white letter tires as well with the dog dishes, but that is my preference. As an aside, was this the car advertised out of Deptford NJ...there was some nasty spam postings on CL were the owner and prospective buyer were trashing each other...looked like a good deal to me.

A bit off-topic here, but has anyone ever tried an early Toronado hub cap on a Chevy rally wheel? They use the same type (inside) retention nubs as a Toro wheel, but I'm not sure about the diameter. Just curious.

Most that I've seen with dog dish had the wheels color coded to the car. But IMHO, paint them whatever color you like best! It would be cool if you found your build sheet, the info about the wheel and color is on that.

I had a gold 70 S with black ralleys and I have to vote that way. Paint them black. It give the care a really nice contrast to the body color. I think when the wheels are the same color as the body (unless the car is all black) they kinda get washed out in the car (so to speak).
