75 88 Royale convertible 350 70k AACA Historic award - unrestored and immaculate - needs nothing
looks like things at work may be soon taking a turn for the worse and I may have no choice
tons of pics here http://picasaweb.google.com/jeffreyalman1/White88#

Jeffrey,
Say it ain't so! I'm sorry to hear you may have to be letting it go. It's a beautiful car. The Old Cars Price Guide puts the value of one of these in #2 condition (showroom) at $10,500. In #3 ("car show quality"), it's $6,750. (In #1--"better than showroom and not driven"--it's $15,000). That's a big spread, but I have to believe your car is worth close to five figures if it's not there already. I hope things work out that you don't have to sell it. Have you actually begun to advertise it, or are you still just thinking about it?
I would ask at least $10,000 for it.

thanks Jaunty - I hope I don't too. No I have not listed it, just that my life has changed drastically in the last few years, and what with the economy and all... just thinking ahead.
I stopped watching auctions because 90% was no bid or reserve not met, and it's depressing, so I am trying my best to hang on to all of them.
Just a luxury I can really no longer afford.

ok so if things get rough and I have to I guess I would ask $15 and settle for something between that and $10k not the end of the world - thanks for the comments, the car is really nice
thanks Andy - yeah I really got lucky, was out of work for a while 2 years ago and am working almost 2 years now but not making anything near what I was 3 - 4 years ago and the company I am working for is struggling too because of the economy - I am just trying to be realistic in case life changes you know?
maybe I should drive it around south beach when the Miami Heat season starts with a 4 sale sign in the window and see if it blings

Raider, keep telling yourself you do not need another convertible...
Jeff, if it has to go, let's hope it goes to a good home that will maintain it as you have. I sure would hate to see that gorgeous car riding 22's...

hey David yeah I wish things were different but we'll see - just thinking out loud for now. As an aside, just took a ride with friends to Cadillac dealer to look at CTS (for them) and the salesman is a friend from AACA who has a mint 76 Eldorado convertible, same colors as mine, who said he could help me when it comes to it - he had a WALL full of pics of him delivering cars to Miami Heat players, something like 5 signed and framed footballs from Dolphin players, all customers.
So it may have to get blinged out LOL sorry Glenn (but I will do my best not to let that happen)
