Where to purchase new glass?

Hello everyone. Question. What companies have you guys purchased new glass for your cars from? I have a 1972 Cutlass Supreme and I’m looking to replace the glass all the way around. I’ve checked OPGI and their prices are ridiculous when you add shipping. I’ve also seen glass on eBay but would only want to go that route as a last resort. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried your local Safelite or just a local auto glass shop? They might be able to get some or all of the pieces needed. Replacing all the glass is a lot of glass. Do you really need to replace all of it? People often replace the windshield because it gets scratched or develops a crack, but I've never heard of anyone replacing the side or back glass unless it was actually broken.

Check with your local auto replacement company, most will have , or be able to get one.

Whatever you gotta do you gotta do. But as suggested, I would include local glass shops in your search. You might be pleasantly surprised at what a local shop can do for you.

Even though a local glass shop may not have your glass in stock they usually get shipments once a day or more from a glass warehouse. They usually don't pay freight if it ships with other goods...... Tedd

I got a Pilkington windshield and bought it thru Summit racing. They had the best shipping rates in my search for glass. —Billy

You may also put up a Parts Wanted thread. Several members here will have the glass you need.

If the shipping cost is the only thing holding you up on OPGI, check back on their site every few weeks, or start googling for promo codes. OPGI regularly has sales where shipping charges are waved for orders over $200.
