Thank You..
Thank You, I do like the relaxing aspects and the building, I also like the engineering, on the tug I built this special rudder called a beckert rudder sort of like an aileron, I saw it on a full size ship and tried to reproduce it on a scale model, I made it from sheet brass
I learned a lot about polishing metal, LOL...
Thanks again for the kudos..

I also collect and restore these unique snowmobiles (twintracks) called Raider and Manta. All are rear engine, twin track design.
Raiders were produced in Michigan from 1971 to 1975. The designer was a former engineer on Ford's GT-40 program who thought all other snowmobiles were built wrong.
Some of them we have owned since the 1970's, and I still have the two that my father purchased new in 1972-73.
I got to ride one around the yard yesterday, after some early season snowfall.
The black '72 Raider Bandit I built from parts back in 1981. It's on it's second paint job, second engine, and countless other parts.
The light blue metalflake Columbia Trackmaster is a sled I dragged home from a boneyard and restored. It now lives in a huge collection in Ottawa, Canada.
The orange one is a rare 1975 Raider Double Eagle. Rare because the company was bankrupt, and auctioned off on November of 1974 after producing the 1975 models for only a few months. (Yes, I'm sort of a Raider historian, and wrote the Wikipedia page. My unfinished website is "Raider Twintrack Snowmobiles .com.)
The blue Manta is one of two known to be painted grabber blue as a special order. The Mantas were purpose built for oval racing. Most were black.
The Raiders take me back to being 13 every time I ride one.
The last photo is to prove that they are not "tippy". Yes, some people got hurt in these, but only when alcohol was involved or when doing a poor imitation of Mario Andretti. (The Andrettis owned a couple of Trail Mantas up until a few years ago.)

I, among other things, collect vintage audio receivers and speakers; late '50s Harman Kardon (copper chassis) TA 120 tube mono rcvr w/ mid '60s University Sound D spkr, late '60s Monocor FAX 150 tube stereo rcvr, mid '70s Harman Kardon 330b rcvr w/ late '60s to early '70s KLH Model 17 spkrs, early '80s Akai AA 1125 rcvr, and an early '80s Yamaha R 700 rcvr. My wife also has an early '80s Zenith console stereo (last of an era).
Btw Eddie, that's some super cool RC stuff. I'd post my RC fixed and rotary wing aircraft collection, but it pales in comparison to your outstanding work.

Can't tell I'm a Oldsmobile kid at heart. lol.
You might notice a random green brick in there. That was from the old Lansing car assembly when they tore it down where my car was made.. Had to snag one of those up.
But I do like to collect older stereo stuff too. I have a nice older Linear drive Technics turntable, and a couple mid 70's Marantz receivers to go along with it. This is one I just got done doing some restoring of electronics on it to make it work again. Looks awesome with all new lights in it

Almost didnt reconize the Murantz receiver without a 8 track player sitting on top, had the exact same receiver back when I was rocking my Jeff Beck iron on decal shirt from the boardwalk in Wildwood NJ
Cool change of pace thread

Guys this is truly fascinating and to me it is what makes America and things like the car hobby great. What an amazing eclectic bunch of nutjobs we are. Tomorrow I will post a pic of my putter collection. It's in my office. The other collections are hard to post and my car is in pieces in 3 states.
I joke and also own several vintage Cleveland putters.

Nice boat models.
I also collect and restore vintage audio gear, mostly from the tube era. I've built a couple modern vacuum tube stereo amplifiers also.
I'm also a model ship builder, mostly RC battleships.
