Warning lights have come on

Well I have just bought my grand daughter a 1998 Intrigue to wreck, I mean to drive with a little over 100k on it and It seems that the check lights for the change oil soon and the anti lock brake lights will come on sometimes, sometimes not. what would cause this and is it something I can repair do without special equipment. The car has a 3800 engine and had a brake job in the last month. Thanks in advance ...Tedd

The antilock brake light has sensors on the spindles that can get dirty from cheap pads.
They're aimed it the inside of the rotors - the ribbed edges.
You can usually blow-off the dust with compressed air, without pulling the wheel.
You will, however, need to jack up every wheel.
If that doesn't do it, the front hub bearings are usually the culprit, as the sensors are part of it - wires to it could be bad, also.

What would cause that is about a bazillion things that set codes in the computers. Get the codes read THEN figure out what needs to be fixed.
