I don't think most people appreciated the level of standard equipment Olds usually offered, especially their last decade.
Rant: GM really threw the baby out with the bath water by getting rid of Oldsmobile and Pontiac (even Saturn to some extent). They would both be around today if Chevy wasn't always given the favorite child status.
Better cars, better designs, better engineering,. Damn MBAs....

Looks like the 4-speed Starfire I stupidly bought brand new in 1975 instead of the fully loaded 1972 sunroof equipped Hurst/Olds that I passed over, because the original owner kept insisting that the H/O had a 350 engine in it. I knew better, and should had just bought it for the $2,600 asking price and 25,000 miles on the odometer.
Because of gasoline prices hitting 50 cents a gallon, the H/O sat unsold for more than 9-months. And probably why he insisted on telling potential buyers that it had a 350 engine, not 455 that was in the car. When I finally decided to disregard the claim by the owner, and buy the H/O, he sold it a few days beforehand.
