UPS driver finds me another one

Eric, if it runs and drives and looks no worse than that, it is not a parts car. Especially for a convert with good floors and trunk.
Trouble is there is not a lot of demand for a 71 Royale convert. That one looks savable and has desirable equipment. Yes, the convert could have heated back glass and 1971 was the last year for the 2-barrel 455. Looks like a Night Watch switch in there too.
Check the paint code. It's either Venetian Red (74) or Autumn Glow (73), can't tell for sure in the bright light, and both of those were supposed to be Toronado-specific in 1971. It may have -- or XX paint code.

i wasn't going to part it out. i just hope someone will restore it. there is a little rust in the front fenders and rear quarters but the rear quarters are not bad enough to replace. i would not replace the front fenders myself but if someone had a better set laying around maybe. the doors, trunk lid, hood trunk pan, and almost all of the floor pans are nice. the bottom of the doors will need just a real little amount of attention from some pitting. i am going to get it on the lift and get pictures from the under side.

I work for the USPS as a rural letter carrier, so I find all kinds of stuff too. Plus, my Fedex and UPS delivery guys are always on the lookout.
The garbage man stopped by yesterday to tell me a 76 Cutlass was for sale about 10 miles from here for 500. May go look in a few days.
Good deal on the vert. That's a nice car, I'd keep it.

Just another funny story about UPS/mailman. I bought my 1970 w-30 convt 4 speed from the second owner with no paperwork in 1978. My mailman had delivered mail to the original owner and I was able to meet him and get all of the original documentation on the car including the pictures when it was one month old. Having all that documentation added a few bucks to the value of my old car too. These guys get around!!!!!!!!! Lee
