1970 W-Machine - 47 years later.

 

It's obviously not a complete W-Machine, and I'm trying to figure out if it's only W or Machine. I'm leaning towards W since there isn't much Machine there.

 

It has been sitting in the same place for the last 30+ years.

 

That is painful to look at.

 

I think I just teared up a little.

On the plus side....that's nothing a little bondo couldn't cure!

 

Are they parting it out?

 

 

Look how far the front rotor has sunk into the ground.

 

Oh man...poor girl!

 

I doubt there are any floors left in that shell, not to mention the front frame rails sitting in the dirt all those years...

Looks like they lifted it by the rear cross member at one time. What a shame cool color combo W machine .


If that was a Chrysler Hemi car someone would save it or at least rebody it.

These pictures were taken by me last weekend. I know the owner as we have done business in the past. The car, I mean what's left of it, can be bought. I am pondering what to do with this car, if anything. The owner has had it for over 30 years and never got a title. He did receive a bill of sale but doesn't know if he can find it, so besides the rough condition, there are some other issues. He has parted it out over the years. The original hood and decklid (with spoiler) went onto a W-31 that I bought years ago. The rear went to another buyer. The car is in the Midwest.

Is the color of the W-30 Ebony black or Twilight blue, with the red stripes? From the photos it looks black from the side, but the rear trunk area looks dark blue.

 

The car is ebony black with red stripes. I have asked the owner to send me a picture of the cowl tag.

 

$600 buys it, as-is, no title. I will also post this under cars for sale. Serious buyers please send private message.
