Think this will buff out? (photography)

I've been wanting to try this for a few years now and today was the day. We had some nice weather so we got the cars out to stretch their legs a bit and one thing led to another.....
Basically, my car is black and, when clean, the paint reflects the surroundings pretty well. I thought it would be cool to take a pic of my car showing the 442 emblem on the fender with the reflection of my 78 TA on the fender. I had my sons white 81 Z28 out too so I threw it in the mix as well. Being white, it worked better than the brown TA especially once I started to lose the light.
This was spur of the moment and what I learned (I think) was that my 442 needs to be in the shade and the cars in the reflection needed to be in the sun light. I had all three of them in the shade and it was around 4pm at that. I also need to throw some quick detailer on my car. I just took the cover off after sitting for two months and didn't wipe it down.
Ideally, they would be taken in a large field or parking lot with no houses or other distractions around them.
Anyone ever try this sort of thing?

Cool stuff,I dig reflection pics.

Here's a couple I tried.

The smoothie wheel was to small to get my whole car in.

The mirrored glass at this school seemed to distort the shape of the car.

I'll be working on more in the future.

Thanks guys!

Here ya go Max. The 78 TA is "my wifes" car.

Very Nice dreamin. Yeah, it is dissapointing when you find a surface you think would look great but then it doesn't work out. Did you try a 3/4 view with your car facing the wheel but at an angle? That might make it fit. You could also put the wheel further away to make the car smaller but then you kind of lose the effect if the reflection is too small.

There's a pond on someone's property near me that I think would make a great shot. It's a well kept pond/yard and there is a hill on one side. So I could park the car right next to the edge of the water and take the pic from the hill so that the reflection of the car would be in the water. Just haven't had the time or ***** to ask them if I could do it. Yet.

Buff out what? All I see is a beautful paint job and 2 very nice looking f -bodies. Very nice shots. If you could do the opposite and have the 442 in the reflection, would be a shoe in for next yrs calendar, what do you think Jerr?

Thank Mike,

As much as I like the body on the TA, there aren't many flat enough spots on the body to reflect the 442 without distorting it. Besides that, the paint on the TA is original and, while it may look ok in the pics, it's definitely not mirror like. Being white, I doubt the Camaro would even show any reflection.
Maybe I need to find me another 442 and get a pic of it reflecting on my car. Been wanting a convertible......hmmm.

Yeah, Matching (well, complimentary anyways) cars! Kinda like those mirrors in the old barber shops that would reflect each others and create an Infinity Mirror effect!
