The Tach in the Middle spot on a 69 Cutlass?

Is there any reason not to put the tachometer in the middle?
I just sent my three gauges - speedminder speedo, rallye cluster, and tic toc tach to John at redline to be serviced as needed.
Has anyone on here ever swapped the location of the tach and the speedometer. The right hand location kinda sucks as far as visibility and I'm thinking that I'd rather have the tach/clock in the middle.
Will the speedo cable likely reach easy enough to the right hand location?

The speedo cable may reach but I'm not sure you'll get it to connect. You may have to put another hole in the firewall so it lines up.

You're also going to have problems getting your wiring harness to reach

BTW, I'm 6'-1" and I have no problem seeing the tach

I would have thought that the wire harness would be more forgiving, maybe not.

I'm only 5'10" but the right hand side of the wheel obstructs the right gauge location. I think it would be awesome in the middle.

I agree 100%. I may do that one myself. Never thought of it!
