Love those Corvair pickups! Looks like a really nice one. Chevrolet is to be commended in besting VW in every way. Truly superior product by any metric IMO. Too bad the American car buyers of the time didn't see it that way after Nader's book.
Somernites Cruise is a great monthly event. I might be a little biased since my Company SD8 LLC is a sponsor. I am also a participant. Didn't go this past Saturday but did attend the Friday Block Party.
Great to see the Oldsmobiles and all the other makes out and about. The main organizer of the event has a blue 70 Olds Cutlass Convertible.
4th Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the month from April to October. Awesome raffle car a 32 Ford Roadster and a Gatormade enclosed
trailer given away in October. Just gave away a truck this past Saturday.
Giving away a 2004 Mustang GT as a DOOR PRIZE on August 24th.
Check out the cars then go fishing or boating on beautiful Lake Cumberland.
Looked like a nice event. Some nice cars you don't see often e.g. Corvair Ramp-Side. I'm not sure about the gray vehicle image above the Corvair - looks like some type of coach-type vehicle - an ice-cream truck of sorts? I like it though - pretty radical.
