Well it took a while because as mentioned in a previous post it was a pending deal, the buyer of my beloved Olds gave me 1/2 the negotiated price as a down payment and asked if that would hold it until he sold one of his other vehicles, I agreed , well he picked her up yesterday , I wished him the same good luck I had, gave her a tap on the fender and bid her good bye !! I think the smile on his face when he pulled away said it all !! he may have to have it surgically removed. She was a great old gal.
I wish I could have kept her just didn't have the room.

I just purchased my 73 442 so I now need to sell my 1971 Monte Carlo SS454 as I don’t have space to keep all of them. It will be tough watching that car go.

I like those first gen monte carlos, I have my granddad's. I'm moving to a new place and should have about 20 or so parking spots, so I won't have to get rid of them till I get too old to drive.
At least the Olds went to a good owner.

Yeah if I didn’t have something to fill the void it would have been a lot tougher !! I’m probably not physically able to do restorations any more however like Koda as long as I can still drive I will have something !! I just love classic cars !! The 34 may be my last . I have made arrangements for it to stay in the family , my grandson is a little Solly , already a car guy. Someone will carry on the tradition !!
I have a 1970 small block Monte I’ve owned for 28 years and the 1971 SS. I love this generation of Montes. I’m happy to have the new 442 though which feels like a new chapter in my career hobby.
