Seat Belts
Seat Belts
Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with aftermarket seat belts for a 1971 Cutlass? I was wondering if there was a more modern lap/chest type belt.
I found these : https://www.morrisclassic.com
Just wondering if anyone had some opinions on them or maybe k ow of others.
*I was going to post this in the interiors part but it looks like that hasn't been used in a while.
Thanks

I used Morris classic, they were great to deal with. I put their shoulder harness belts in my 67 442. I sent them my original lap belts, they took my original big buckles and put them on their new lap/shoulder harness belts. They do also have smaller GM buckles if you want but i wanted to keep my big ones. It worked out great, and again they were wonderful to deal with. As i recall it was $300 or $350, im very happy with them. I dont have pictures of them now but i could get some in a couple of days.
Good luck

Ok great. So from what I gather these are not retractable but just combine the old two pieces into more manageable one piece and get the chest part off the neck? I was originally looking for something more like a modern retractable seat belt but I think anything to improve on what is in there would help.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Here are some aftermarket seatbelt suppliers. Their belts meet federal safety standards. This is important. I bought some seatbelts from Auto Loc before I knew about these sites and was disappointed.

Hmmm, retro belt claims made in China so I don't like that, but then seatbeltsplus says made in America but with foreign parts so probably china parts too. I am leaning towards the seatbeltsplus though. Nice to know there are retractable replacements out there. Thanks for the links.
