Running after 6yrs.

Pulled the olds out of the garage for the first time in 6yrs. I parked it back in 03 and there it has sat. It is a 1971 442 conv. auto w/ buckets and console. I thought the gas would be bad but there was very little gas in the tank. When I parked it I knew the water pump was bad so I replaced it, filled the float bowl with fuel, checked all fluids and charged the battery. After about a minute of on/off cranking it caught and is now running again. I found the master cylinder was bad so I replaced that too. I took it down my street and I could feel the flat spots on the tires.
I feels like a "barn find". I have been planning on a total resto for about 6yrs. now but just don't have the $ or space or time.
I am thinking about selling it. It is a real original car with very little rust, numbers matching, protecto plate with original owners manuals. The car shows 7k on the odometer (probably107k) The car has all the factory markings in the engine bay and even still has original spiral shocks. 455 auto, posi, ac, tilt. I was planning on repainting silver with black gut so I traded my green buckets for some black ones that aside from the covers are in good shape. Let me know what you guys think about this car or what you think a fair price would be to sell? I'll try to post some pix.

I took a lot of pix but it says they are too big to download. I have been trying to shrink them but I am clueless, especially on the mac my wife bought. Anybody walk me through this?

You might try to fiddle with your camera to make it take smaller pictures...

Smile pics

Go to photobucket.com or flickr.com and start a free account. You can put as many photos as you want and post a link that is available on each site.

Photos of my car

Wolfman was kind enough to point me to photobucket where even an idiot like myself can download pix. You guys take a look and tell me what you think about the car and what the value may be.
I also realize it's worth what anybody would pay for it but I am also looking for comments from fellow Olds enthusiasts.

Looks like a beaut to me! To bad about the front seats...do you still have the originals? If it is as nice in person as it looks in the pics all things considered, IMO , gotta be at least $15,000 to start!

Smile Looks good

Too bad you are selling it , looks like a good car to fix up. Needs a new front bucket but the rest of the interior looks pretty good. The motor is a definite selling point as it looks good and hopefully does work good. The body looks solid but needs some minor work here and there. Where it needs the most work is the underside of the car and some in the trunkwell. Selling point is that it can be a great fixer upper for not a lot of money for someone like myself who would do it himself. if you are going to sell it then sell the motor and car as a great muscle car project. There are lots of people looking for these cars depending on where you live. With some work by yourself you could add a lot of value to the car if you want to go that route.
