I've ordered parts from him before and got great customer service. Here's the link.

I'll be the dissenter. I've used kits from Quadrajet Parts and Mike's with zero issues. Maybe I'm biased because the "odd=MT, even=AT" myth still won't die.

I dare you......no..... and I might be creating a slight breach of etiquette here.... I triple dog dare you to post those little nuggets on the QJ Facebook group.

In fact, I dare you to post anything that questions "the creator" on there.

Why don't you post it on Fakebook ? Personally, I could care less about Fakebook.

From what I have seen from people that come here from Fakebook, they frequently have incorrect information and old myths. They crowdsource opinions and diagnostics on Fakebook and head off in the wrong direction. I am sure there are some knowledgeable people there, but I don't care to sort them out.

We DO have some very knowledgeable people on ClassicOldsmobile and a couple of dunces. I value your and others wisdom and knowledge, since I have cars in various stages from 1949 to 1970. Thank you.

Oh I know, I know.....I'm just kidding around with Joe for badness . There's a FB QJet group that we're both members of and there are some, we'll say, "sensitive" folks on there who don't take too kindly to independent thoughts with regards to Qjets.

As always, some good folks there as well but saying that they're dogmatic in their QJet beliefs is putting it mildly.

I took the comment in the way it was intended.
John Herald had warned me when I joined that group that it set new levels for idiocy. I was not disappointed.

Cliff's kits are nice, I personally used two of his high performance kits, new floats, choke pull offs and primary throttle shaft bushing kit. Very pricey though but it is going in a W30 carb. He actually adds restrictions to pull offs so they have the proper release time. I'm sure the kits Joe mentioned are also very good. I think these experts like adding to these myths, knowing they aren't true and get a chuckle out of them when people quote them like the gospel.

On the "odd-even" thing: The March 2024 issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines, Swap Meet section, the answer to the Quadrajet Search question says, “Because it ends with an odd number, it fits a manual transmission…”.
I e-mailed Hemmings and said they needed to call Joe P. so he could straighten them out.

One of the problems with the younger generations is a sort of communism of the mind, where everyone has an opinion, and all opinions are equally valid. This, of course, couldn't be further from the truth. Some people are stupid; some are ignorant, and some are arrogant. Some are even all three. Facebook is horribly set up for navigation and data retention, on purpose.

I don't proclaim to know everything; I do like to help people, so, if I am not sure of something or don't have the data right now, I'll hedge by saying "I believe it to be this." My trade loves data so much that we're humble about learning new things since it makes us better.

Yet another reason why I dropped my subscription to HMM years ago.

This is a solid take.
