rescue pets

Our son and His girlfriend brought this 5 pound cat home in 2011, She was 8, a rescue cat, I was against it but he wore me down, 6 months later He moved out and could not take Her with Him, She never climbed or messed up anything , was

like a little kid, would touch your leg as if to ask permission to be picked up, would go on your left shoulder like a baby, would never hurt a fly, noticed the last week she was losing weight and was having trouble with back legs, took to Vet today and

there was nothing they could do , so She had to be put to sleep before she was in Pain, Goodbye Maggie We Loved You! DaD

Senior pets often make the best ones. My cousin has had numerous rescues who were obviously grateful for the home they were given.

It's tough when they go into decline but the humane and merciful thing to do is put them down before they have no quality of life. A pet who is terminally ill or in constant pain isn't enjoying life. Cherish their memory and rescue another pet.

I'll admit the big reason I don't have any is because of how bad it hurts when they die. Crusty old bastard that I am I don't deal with loss well.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your cat, Maggie. She was a beautiful and elegant creature, and I'm certain a wonderful asset in your family. Think about all the good times you had with her while she was here.

I'm a cat man too, so I share your pain.

That sucks. I have had to put down many of my furry friends over the years, it’s never easy.

My deepest condolences.

Always tough news. Never easy to let them go. Good for you for not making her suffer. We had to put down a dog a couple years ago. It was sad seeing his health deteriorate. It was the humane thing to do. We love animals in this house.

Sorry for your loss. I feel we have all been there before so I do know the toll it's taking on you because its one of the hardest things to do based on my experiences.
