Four Four,

Cool diagrams! Wish I had found those when I was doing my car. I looked everywhere??

Nilsson,

Here is a shot of my scoop brackets to the support area (tough photo to take). I'm not claiming this is "factory correct" but it is in the ballpark. You can see in the shot how the braces "straddle" the fender support I previously mentioned. A correct w-30, support bracket provides greater room for the scoop braces. As I said, I got this to work with my existing fender braces (looks correct from the outside) with just some good ole American ingenuity )

Fabulous, just what I was looking for.

I thank you for your time and concern. I will be installing the oai this weekend.

No prob guys. I found on my car the pre-punched holes in the core support were close but not quite perfectly in line with my brackets. I could have bent the brackets a little but I was a afraid of damaging the scoops or loosening the rivets.

Tony or 4-speed

What air filter element did you end up using? I find 2" to be to short and 3" to be to tall.

TIA

I measured mine and it's 3" tall. It's the one that was in my original, single snorkel 442 air cleaner. I just stuck it in the OAI one since it was like new.
