Removing Splatter from Trunk...Wrong Idea
Guys/Gals:
I think I made a "big" mistake to strip-clean out the bottom and part of the side sections of the rear quarters(there is rust under the back sections). I am NOT going to strip the factory grey paint under the Splatter. There is other grud on the surface, hence the cleaing off. The factory stuff turns to "Bubble Gum" once treated with Aircraft stripper. Question: Besides using a sander, what is a better way to get it out?! What other methods are there? All thoughts welcomed. Thanks!

By the way if your aircraft stripper contains Methylene Chloride, use due caution, it is a know carcinogen, make sure it is very well ventilated, and wear butyl/rubber gloves. A respirator would be wise with replaceable filters meant for this chemical, changed frequently.

Thanks for the tips..I have been wearing rubber gloves-neeed to upgrade, open garage with fan blowing over the subject area, no mask, but have a good one. Is there any other stripper/liquid that will take this off? Any other "home-made" remedies? Thanks
