Norm and I went a few rounds. I was wondering what happened to him. May he rest in piece.

Well I'm in, don't know how much interest there will be in mid fifties cars, if low I'll probably bail, but time will tell.....Tedd

PS. I liked Norm in a sarcastic masochistic type of way...Tedd again.

So did anyone ever talk to Russell to see what happened?
Did he throw in the towel?
Lots of good info was on that site.

I think Russell was more of a moderator than the site owner/administrator. Rick Hunt is the owner/administrator. ROP is supposed to be back but I do not know when. I just put this site up for those who wanted to join and if ROP does come back up and and my site dies, that's life,I'm just doing my community service.

Thanks

Mike

As for the ROP successor site, I'll never visit it, but I hope it thrives if only to keep as much trash as possible from coming here to spout off.

Thanks to BA, the basement appears to be gone...A member goes to the efforts to provide the Olds community with another forum, and he promptly takes a dump in it. I say thanks for the new forum and a wise choice to eliminate that area.

The Basement forum is not gone,it's only available to registered members, guests can't see it. The misconception of the purpose of The Basement forum is not to encourage the political/conspiracy/BS etc.,just the opposite. I don't care how many times I say or post none of that stuff is allowed,it still finds it's way into the site. That way if anything of the sort is posted outside of it,it will either be moved there or deleted. Again,I hope this help members understand where I'm coming from,I want it to be a good place for all.

I'll take a poloroid of my old 330, and tape it to my aircleaner so you can see an Olds engine under my hood. Happy now?

I'm older and wiser, I just do what the voices tell me. Ask me if I care.

So your saying a BBC is a better engine in your 67 rather then a 400, 425 or 455?

Not trying to pick a fight, but honestly i dont. I really try to avoid your posts. You have a really nice 67. I can tell you love it. But to me (and most Olds owners) What makes the Olds an Olds is the heart (engine) And you have a BBC in yours. Then make comments like "your older and wiser now" To me, it sounds like your saying Olds motors are just no good. Its cool if your a big fan of the BBC. And If you put a BBC in your car, then its your choice. But why are you even on this site? Couldnt you go play on some chevy site or A body forum? Why come here or any other Olds site and promote Chevys in Olds or put down Olds engines?

I don't think he was saying he's older and wiser because he's got a Chevy under the hood. He's saying he's older and wiser and being teased or taunted for having a Chevy under the hood isn't going to bother him.

I'm also of the opinion it doesn't matter what's under the hood of your car. He owns an Oldsmobile and a nice one too. That's good enough for me.

Um, am I going to miss anything by not following Realolds? There is a boat section, but other than that, I'm OK with the info, content, and people here.

The older and wiser statement had nothing to do with equipment. It had to do with my attitude towards other people and their vehicles. It also means I'm old enough and wise enough not to give a crap on what people think of me or my vehicle.

I also believe that the day you start footing the bills on my or others peoples cars, is the day your opinion counts.

Flame away, after 40 years of playing with cars my skin is pretty thick.

Oldcutlass, why not bring your car to the OCA Nationals this year? You can show it in Modified, and race along with others in the Show Stock class, meaning using the tires, exhaust you show it with.

#1 It is not a race car! It is a daily driver period, it will probably never see the track.
#2 sorry - there is no #2 reason.
