Realoldspower.net

OK guys,it's up and running. Like I posted previously in the thread about ROP,I'm not competing with it or CO. I'm just offering an alternative to those who choose to take part and join. I want it to be a place for all to enjoy. Unlike CO/ROP it has a forum called 'THE BASEMENT' for whatever goes. I choose to do that because things unrelated to Oldsmobiles always find their way into the other forums. Anything other than what the forums are about will be deleted. The Basement will be the forum for politics/tin foil hat/conspiracies/etc. If you don't like anything unrelated to cars,do not go there. Be one of the first to join and have fun.

www.REALOLDSPOWER.NET

Thanks

Mike

Does being a Crowdis supporter make you a bad guy? Everybody is welcome until they have a reason not to be.

I checked it out, it sounds like an old west saloon. Should be good for some interesting threads.

If you are going to make a serious effort to make your site succeed I suggest you take the waste of life that calls himself badandy off your welcoming commity and keep him in the basement. For someone that wants more business "Polishing ****" he does not have a clue how to conduct himself to be able to gain a larger customer base.

X2....surely there are limits to rudeness! In only a few posts he has managed to insult a guys car color, made childish comments about a members sexual orientation and outright insulted members of CO....simply disguisting

Yep he started out flaming Classic Olds members because he is too stupid to realize that we weren't the reason for him getting banned here But that don't stop him from lurking here daily. Hi Andy LOL

I remember a guy named Norm that had an exceptional personality as well. Andy and Norm could get their own Olds web site together. They could call it "Caustic Oldsmobile"

Before Norm passed away he did have his cranky days but he had vast knowledge of Oldsmobiles and helped me and plenty of others.

@66-3X2 442

I noticed you are using phpbb. Its what I've used on my sites and I want to just tell you in advance to get ready to fight a lot of spam protection. Its one of the reason I have a difficult time getting forums on my site.

I am very serious about making the site work and I really want it to. When I made the decision to start up a ROP cloned site,I decided that I wanted any and everybody to join and have a good time. I realize that some tend to get under ones skin and until somebody really gives me a reason to boot them,I'll just keep an eye on them. This is what I do when there's members on other sites I don't care for,I just don't read or respond to them. There are a lot of different personalities and it's really hard for all to get along all of the time but as long as they don't threaten another member, they should be OK. Thanks for joining Richard and have fun.

I was not suggesting kick anyone off. I was just going by what you posted about the basement was going to be for trash talk and such and the first post I see when I click over is the "If you came here from CO then get the F*** Out" thread was not in the basement.

I didn't know he had passed. Cranky? Out of respect for the dead I'll keep my feelings to myself about Norm.
The anonymity of the internet can make tough guys out of weasels, car experts out of guys that can't turn a wrench, Geniuses out of valve cover buffers. etc etc etc.
Rodney King said it best. "Can't we just get along?"

Actually I accidentally deleted it trying to move it to the correct forum. I have had my problems with Andrew in the past till I figured out that he's attention deficient. Just don't pay him any.
