Realistic value 1972 cutlass convertible

Due to unforeseen circumstances I’m considering selling my 72 . It’s an amature restoration I feel I did a pretty good job at . Anybody is welcome to check my album to see the process. I’ve got well over 13000 in parts in it and countless hours , but realize it’s only worth what’s someone will pay. I’ve seen theses cars in this condition advertised on eBay and Craigslist in the 17000 range but doubt they’re getting that. Any suggestion on a starting price would be helpful . In the coming weeks I’ll put an ad here first as I would rather sell it for less money to a true Oldsmobile guy.

I would list it for the amount you feel its worth and go from there. The value that most will put on it would be considerably less than what it takes to put one together themselves.

I'll offer my $.02 since you asked. 1st sorry to hear you have to sell it but I I understand that sometimes plans change. 2nd you've done some really nice work there.
Items IMO that will effect the value;
  • IMO '72's take a little haircut off the values of the 70 & 71
  • I like the color but some people won't love the green, despite what Gas Monkey says. Same with the bench seat *even though I have one)
  • Is the engine regasketed & detailed or fully rebuilt? Seeing AC Alt Brackets on a none AC care assuming it's not matching #'s?
  • Are there any little jobs still to be done (i.e. trumpets to match the cut out bumper?
  • In person, does it look like a professional quality paint job?

Depending how you answer these, I think the value will range from the low end to the high end of what you listed.

I have a 72 CS convertible. It is in great condition. I recently had it appraised and it came in at $26K.
