Quarter window roller spring

Can anyone explain how the spring goes on the 1970 442 rear quarter window roller ? Can it be installed without removing the window ?? Thanks --Greg

I can't explain it, but it definitely can go on and off easily w/o removing the window or track. I think you can access it through the door jamb vent and moving the window down. I'll look for a pic.

Great---a pic will help----hope this will take out the slop in the widow when its half rolled down. It rocks front to back as of now when in the the half down position.

How about this pic? This is Chevelle...the spring can only go on 2 ways. The coil goes around the hook like in the pic. One end goes against the tab to hold it. The other end goes in the "v" of the roller to hold pressure on the roller. The spring in this pic needs to be flipped to go on the roller like you see in the pic.
