Price check 72 H/O

What's a ballpark worth on a 72 H/O? Normal 455 (not w-30), hardtop, vinyl, @150k miles, probably a repaint or nice original, good interior panels and vinyl, little bit of wear on dash chrome, surface rust on underside of pans and frame, good dual gate, engine looks repainted. AC car, with AC missing. No real options other than that AC.

I'd call it mid to strong OCPG condition 3.

Thanks.

For what it's worth, because I have no real world knowledge, I just insured my 74 and my insurance company came up with an agreed value at 25k. They claimed low value was 18k high was 35k. I have no idea how that equates to real world current economy prices. And IMHO a 72 has a lot more curb appeal. I'd guess without seeing it, in good shape 20s would be realistic. But again I havnt been in the olds market or even arena for years. I'm sure that was no help at all lol.

Thanks, bud, and I wish the Commodores were better this year, reminds me of when I was there, if that's what your handle refers to. Your info helps some. I think he has a broadcast card, so that would show w-45, but I don't know if those show VINs too. Ideally a window sticker would be good, so I could compare engine, cowl, trans to it.

Hopefully some others will chime in, put it in general for more views, the HO section is low activity. I'd like to get a HO for hanging out with the Hurst Olds club, which I have some friends in, but it's not a burning passion, and I need another old car like I need a spare butt hole, so there is that to consider.

I would agree w/Vandy in the price range, the really nice ones are priced in the 30k plus range, but don't seem to be selling. Don't forget that the cowl tag should have W45 embossed in it.

Guy bit at my email a bit. I asked back for pic of the vin, cowl tag, engine vin deriv,
trans vin deriv, axle tube code, broadcast card (which he says he has) and sticker and protectoplate, which he probably doesn't have.

Next step will be to ask and comment on various problems the car has, of which there are a few. Then, we can negotiate.
