I lived next door to Mandy Williams' brother on Linda Vista Street in West Covina in the late sixties. He was a salesman at the dealership . He was always bringing home a different new Olds. Once a white H/O that blew my 10 year old mind. One of those random memories.

I found out recently That it Hershberger Chevrolet Oldsmobile Inc.Of Martinsburg Pa.
It appears that the name is still active but is no longer a dealership?

That's a W-30 delivered to Hawaii. Broadcast card shows 2-25-70 so roughly about 100 days from start of build to final delivery.

1970sc: Sunrise Olds/Toyota in Daytona Bch was bought in partnership with Story Olds. In the spring of 1973 Story asked me to come over to his dealership and wanted to take me to lunch. Long story short he offered me the position of New Car Manger, offered me a good salary, use of a car, and paid my way from Lansing to Daytona. I started in April, 1973 and he sold the dealership in Sept., 1974, because it wasn't making the profit he wanted. Of course new owner brought in his own team and I was out of a job within 24 hrs.!

I still regret quitting Olds in Lansing. I had it great and didn't know it! Sad...

 

1970 442 Built Linden, NJ. Charged to Dan Province Olds, ??? E. Broadway, Lenoir City Tennessee. Zone 18, dealer illegible. Shipped to Zone 16, Dealer 117.
Found on top of fuel tank below tank mat, causing substantial staining but over 90% readable.
Any help on where it was shipped to in Zone 16, Dealer 117 would be great.

 

Hey gang, I was on vacation a few years ago in Cape May, NJ and remember seeing an Olds dealer sign still up on a pole. I believe it was in the town of Rio Grande, just north of Cape May. I'm in the area again and would like to look for it again since I don't remember the exact location. Does anybody have any information about a former Olds dealership in this area? Only here for the week. Thanks!

Anyone have a car originally from McEleney Motors in Clinton, Iowa?

 

I remember seeing Mole Oldsmobile in Amityville N.Y. After that it was Mole Ford in the same location. I think it's a Toyota dealer now.

 

I have a farm in Roaring Spring, PA (about 5 miles from Martinsburg). Hershberger went out of business MANY years ago. I believe Zeigler Chevy; Claysburg, PA bought them but closed the M'burg location after a few years. It sat empty for several years after Zeigler, then a RV dealer remodeled it but it too closed after a few years. The building is currently vacant.

 

Schoner is still in business.
