Polyurethane control arm bushings

Anybody try to make polyurethane control arm bushings from the gutted outer shells and inner spacer by pouring polyurethane in the gap in between?

Why not just buy control arm bushings? They're generally available for most Oldsmobiles.

I wish that I could find where they are available without having to get a second mortgage. For a 62" Starfire the rear control arm bushings and only available from Rare Parts at $104+ for 2 and then you have to press out the center bushing and press in the correct 5/8" center bushing from your old oem bushings. The front upper control arm bushings are another story...Moog has quit making them and I'm afraid to call those parts rapists Fusicks. Well that's all of off my chest.
Thanks Dennis

Well, I suppose you could craft your own rear control arm bushings. I checked around and you can get front end suspension kits from Kanter, but they aren't cheap. Plus, they might be Chinesium instead of polyurethane. It's worth looking:
