Pic of 70 442 jack
Man, I am going crazy trying to find an authentic 1970 Olds 442 jack on ebay or cragslist. I really want to find the correct type/shaped one for show purposes.
If someone has what they know to be an original 70 442 jack would u mind posting a pic of it (particularly the base and hook)?
Thanks in advance!!

Nope, both my 69's are the hollow post jacks. Grey base, jack mechanism and bumper cradle with a black rubber bumper protector on it. The jack post is like a silver, almost galvanized looking.

Steven,
On the hooks, in addition to the F-85, can you read off the part numbers on it? I recall seeing several types. Some stamped with F-85, and others stamped with F-85 1968-69 or something like that, and some stamped with a "U".
Also, can you read off any p/n's on the base? Thanks, I think your photos will help a lot.

for the life of me I can not find a part number anywhere, the rubber part on the cradle says 399202 and under that HJ 4255-32 the stand also has a stamp on it U-70 I noticed the paint is dark gray with light gray under it, not sure if it is gray on top of primer or maybe someone painted it a darker gray

Wow.....u folks have been really helpful. I appreciate all the information and pics you've all provided.
I am not sure what OPGI, ROP, or Year One are so any help there would also be appreciated.
If anyone has a 70 jack to sell let me know!!
THANKS !!!!!

Mine has F-85 U and part# 406925 stamped into the bumper cradle part. I think it is original to my 70 SX Conv, but who knows - someone may have swapped it over the years. Anyone know if that part# is correct for 70 to help us all out? Mine is painted gray.

On the 1970 Cutlass/ 442/ F85 406925 is the correct number for jack craddles. The base will have "U70" stamped on it. The "lift" will have the date code stamped on the rivet. (ie 0B for February 1970) Plasti-coat T-37 Federal Grey is an accurate colour for the lift, craddle and base. The shaft is plated in gold cad. I have found 1970 98's with jacks in great condition. The craddle is different, but the rest of the jack assembly is the same as 442's.
