pedal extenders

My grand daughter is short 5"2". She is looking at a car to buy, but she is having trouble reaching the pedals. Help lead me to a solution for her. Thanks.

Many Ford products have adjustable pedals. I have them in my 2010 Flex and my 2012 Expedition. The 99 Expedition I had also had them.

old man that ran a junkyard just outside of town back in the 70's thru the late 80's had a 76 bonneville with adjustable pedals.i thought that was pretty cool.and from about 03 up you could get a yukon or suburban with adjustable pedals.

Pontiac G6 has movable pedals as an option.

My wife is 4'10" and drives the Kia Soul in my signature. I'm 7' and can drive the Soul uncomfortably.

My wife is 5-3 (on a good day...) and has no problems at all driving her two 1985 Delta 88s.

Holy big man marrying a little women. Unless she is a big girl or exceptionally short legs, even a car like our Challenger should work. My wife has the seat adjusted like someone 5', even though she is 5'8".

I realize that the issue here isn't actually height, it's the foot-to-hip dimension, and that can vary greatly among people of the same overall height. Still, 5-2 is a long way from a 5th percentile female (in fact, it's probably around 35th or 40th percentile). I find it hard to believe this is really a problem, unless your granddaughter is trying to emulate the classic Italian arms-out driving position.

Two choices:

Make the car smaller.

Or make your granddaughter bigger.

My wife never drives my truck or my Olds. She doesn't like driving the Sorento and it has power seats.

The grand daughter had a 99 jeep and it was ok for her with the seat up. The jeep was totaled and now she is looking at a 2003 impala and she said even sitting on the edge of the seat moved all the way forward. it seems too far away for comfort and safety. She was thinking of using pillows behind her.
