I have a couple of questions regarding the dash on 1958 models. Was the padded dash standard, or was it an option? We have a Super 88 with a padded dash, but the visors are not padded. On our Fords, if a padded dash was ordered, the visors were also padded. Does the same apply to Oldsmobiles as well?

I've never owned a 58 but on a 55 and I believe on a 57 part of the super package was padded dash among other things... But as in all Oldsmobile's of that era you could order a car as you see fit and people did quite often.So set in stone rules don't really apply as they do in later cars.... Tedd
