P1326 Russian Roulette
Sorry for the non olds rant.
So the other day my 2015 Sonota tripped the knock sensor so the engine light was flashing and car went into limp mode.
I bought a reader and got a P1326 knock sensor code.
long story short after towing car, the dealer does a software update to lessen the sensitivity clears the code and sends me on my way.
Come to find out there is a known issue where the crank bearings fail and the sensor picks up the knock.
Hyundai requires the dealers to go through diagnostics and two software updates and has to reproduce the knock while at the dealership.
So now I have to pray the car doesn't go into limp mode while getting on the highway.
Limp mode limits the rpm to 1800 or so and the car won't go much faster than 40mph.
The good: they now have unlimited waranty for that issue.
The Bad: anxiety waiting for it to happen, playing Russian roulette every time I get on the

That's the first that I've heard of that one. I bought both of my Hyundai's new (2012 and 2016) and haven't had a whisper of a problem out of either of them (knock on wood). At least they're covering the problem for you.
I took both of my Hyundais in for that recall fix for thieves being able to start them through the USB. They upgraded the ignitions and gave me a club for each car (did they think that it was the '90's).
The reason that I mentioned that was that I got a look at their recall items list and I don't remember seeing that one there.

They lost a class action lawsuit for your issue. Good luck getting it taking care of. The only thing my dealership is good at is giving the run around. I'm surprised that you didn't get a notification letter from Hyundai disclosing the terms of the settlement. I was told by a tech, if you have the car brought in, and the oil is low, they will not honor the warranty. The service writer countered that by saying don't add any oil, so they can monitor oil usage. I add 2-2 1/2 quarts every 5000 miles to mine. I don't trust the service writer. The last thing that they want to do is replace the engine if they can avoid it.$$$

I thought I liked my sonota.
Bought New 2015 leftover in Jan 2016,
Now has a whopping 55k miles
1st problem Moon Roof wind screen detached.
2. Engine light. Cam shaft senor (bad seal Oil soaked)
3. Engine light. Cam shaft senor (bad seal ) installed incorrectly?
4. Knock sensor possible bad engine (known issue with crank bearings)
The dealer claims unlimited/yr mile waranty for this issue. ( just requested documentation)

Various Hyundai and Kia model with the 2.0L or 2.4L engines are the main problem.
Here's a decent write up of the issues and lawsuits.

Hopefully you can get your problem taken care of. I got the run around from the local Kia dealership a few years ago.
